Mario dos Ventos is an internationally renowned Kimbandeiro and spiritual head of a House of Kimbanda in the UK. Besides his deep knowledge of Kimbanda, Mario is also a trained Kardecist Spiritist Medium and experienced Caribbean Espiritista. He has trained with practitioners and initiates of Brazilian Umbanda & Kimbanda, Southern Style Hoodoo & Rootwork as well as Puerto Rican and Cuban Espiritismo and Bujeria.

He is available for readings with the Lenormand Cards in combination with the Kimbanda Nzimbu/Nkobo Cowry-shell divination. Mario has published articles for various spiritual periodicals and magazines, and has given talks on Afro-Brazilian Magic and Witchcraft at a number of conferences and gatherings. He internationally teaches workshops and is the author ‘Na Gira do Exu’, a rare collection of drawn song invocations for the spirits of Kimbanda, and ‘The Game of Destiny’, a manual for divination by Lenormand Cards. He is currently working on the first practical manual of Umbanda for the English speaking audience, as well as a series of practical manuals to invoke the aid of Exu and Pomba Gira, the Division of Gypsy Spirits, the Ancestors of Africa and the Native Spirits of the Land.

Mario always tells people that he is not a fortune teller but rather a ‘spiritual physician’. He says “When you go and see a doctor he asks you where it hurts, how you feel and how your sleeping patterns are before he is able to make a good diagnosis and give you any type of medication or treatment.
